When I Show You My Words

When I show you my words, I hope to see
everyone of you close your eyes,
let them sink in, and visualize
these experiences that happened to me.

I hope to see you open up your heart,
let in the joy and the sadness,
to feel my pain and madness,
but to realize there's still one more part.

I hope to see my message be found
when my words come to an end
always just around the bend,
and to find that there's hope all around.

  1. Katie I love your first part of this poem,

"When I show you my words, I hope to see
everyone of you close your eyes,
let them sink in, and visualize
these experiences that happened to me."

Overall the whole thing is really good! But that first part are my favorite lines

  2. I like your rhyming... it's not like "The cat was in a hat with a bat" ... it was subtle, but recognizable. I also love the first stanza of your poem. All around it was a great poem.

  5. This poem shows that you really want what you say to be heard. It shows you have great confidence and you're not afraid to tell the truth or say what's on your mind. Very relatable!

  6. I liked the choice of words "when I show you my words" instead of just saying "when you read what I wrote" or something cliche. It made what you were talking about fresh, new and interesting to read.
